Mrs. Katrina Hartsock - Director of Education
Mrs. Hartsock resides in Austin, TX with her husband Sam and four children. She converted to the Catholic faith in 2002 and immediately became convinced of the necessity of classical, Catholic homeschooling. The strong relationships and depth of character which homeschooling has fostered in her own family has led Mrs. Hartsock to share homeschooling with other Catholic families through the mission of RCA.
During her 7 years at Regina Caeli, Mrs. Hartsock has served as an upper school tutor, Center Coordinator of Education, and Regional Manager of Education. She now serves as the Assistant Director of Education working from the Austin RCA center, where her children attend.
Prior to homeschooling, Mrs. Hartsock earned her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and worked at Advanced Micro Devices in both Sunnyvale and Austin. She has served on the Religious Education advisory board at St. Mary Cathedral in Austin where she has been a parishioner for 14 years, and is active in her local homeschool community. Some of Mrs. Hartsock’s greatest joys are reading C.S. Lewis with her family, her children’s participation in the St. Joseph Latin Mass Choir, and her family’s annual trips to the mountains.
