Mr. Rich Beckman - Director

 

Mr. Beckman has a distinguished 22 year career in Management Consulting where he has advised a diversity of global Fortune 500 companies on developing technology-enabled business transformation strategies. In particular, his expertise focuses on identifying the value of investing in new technology, working extensively with business leaders to ensure their use of technology enables the achievement of strategic business goals and objectives. Early in his consulting career, Mr. Beckman studied to become a certified behavioral analyst, applying these unique skills throughout his career, especially in the area of identifying the business impact of change on people and organizations. He currently serves as a Managing Partner for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), residing in Atlanta with his wife of 25 years, Kari, and their eight children.

Mr. Jim Graham - Director

 

Jim Graham is the son of Dr. Joseph and Mary Jo Graham. He was born in Brockton, Massachusetts on January 12, 1966. After attending the University of Dallas for a few years, Jim transferred to the University of St. Thomas in Houston, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy. He pursued graduate studies in Theology and Philosophy for two years at UST before taking over as Texas Right to Life’s Executive Director in 1994. He lives in Houston with his wife, Elizabeth, and has been serving as Texas Right to Life’s President since 2011.

Fr. Peter Idler - Director

 

Fr. Peter Idler has been a priest since 1997 and studied at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome while in residence at the North American College. He was ordained a deacon at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and a priest at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden, NJ.  Fr. Idler had previously served at St. Rose of Lima from July to November in 2002. His previous assignments were St. Patrick's in Woodbury, NJ, Immaculate Conception in Bridgetown, NJ, worked in Puerto Rico as an assistant to a retired cardinal (Aponte Martinez), and was a Hospital Chaplin. Fr. Idler returned to St. Rose of Lima at the end of February 2013. The beauty of the mass, first experienced as an alter boy, inspired him to become a priest. 
Fr. Idler grew up in East Brunswick, NJ and attended St. Joseph's High School in Metuchen, NJ. He enjoys reading, science fiction, soccer, and playing with his cat Carmelo. In addition to English, Fr. Idler can speak Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.

Mr. Daniel Saegaert - Director

 

Dan Saegaert is originally from Connecticut where he grew up in a loving, Catholic home. Following high school, he served four years active duty in the United States Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician (AT). He subsequently moved to Atlanta in 1989 after completing his military service where he began working for Delta Air Lines, Inc. as an avionics mechanic. Throughout his career Dan has held various technical, safety, operational, and managerial posts. Today he is a pilot and instructor on the Boeing 717 aircraft for Delta. He holds a bachelor's degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and brings his work experience, business acumen, and a deep Catholic faith to the Board of Directors.  Dan’s bride of 17 years is a Regina Caeli tutor and his three children are students on the Atlanta campus. Dan has served on the Board of Directors since 2011. He and his family reside in Locust Grove, Georgia.

Fr. Augustine Tran - Director

 

Father Tran was born in Saigon, Vietnam and immigrated to the United States in 1974 with his parents. He grew up in Springfield, Illinois. Although he was baptized a Catholic as an infant, he was not raised in a religious household, so he considered himself an atheist throughout his high school and undergraduate years. While in graduate school at Georgia Tech, he had a profound conversion experience and received the sacraments of initiation in 1991. He entered the seminary in 1993 and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Atlanta in 1998. Since then, he has served as a parochial vicar at St. Theresa's in Douglasville, St. Thomas More in Decatur, and All Saints in Dunwoody. He currently teaches theology at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School in Roswell and resides at St. Monica's in Duluth.

Mr. James Faber - Director

 

Mr. Faber holds a Business and MBA from Drake University and faithfully served his country in the Alabama Air National Guard, retiring in 1996. An active Pilot with Delta Air Lines these past 28 years, He also founded, developed and ultimately sold his own business, Flightline, offering innovative technology solutions to the airline industry. He has been married to his wife Amy for 34 years and is the proud father of two grown children and 5 grandchildren. He primarily resides in Fayetteville, GA and attends Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Mr. Frank Scarchilli - Director

 

Frank is a devout Roman Catholic, father of six children ranging from 6 to 19 years old, and was recently widowed after 19 years of marriage.  Baptized Catholic as an infant, Frank attended Catholic grade school and high school in the suburbs of Detroit, then attended General Motors Institute where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.  Frank's career has involved engineering, people, budget and project management, as well as business development positions at automotive OEM's (General Motors and Daimler), 1st tier automotive suppliers (Siemens Automotive and Kelsey-Hayes) and a small minority owned engineering and manufacturing firm (Saturn Electronics and Engineering).  These positions included individual contributor roles as a Product Engineer, management roles as an Engineering Manager, and business roles as a Customer Program Manager and Program Director. 

 

Throughout Frank’s career, he has had opportunities to apply his engineering and management skills in small, medium and large businesses.  He also has managed throughout all of the business cycles including where budgets were tight and cost cutting was necessary through times of abundant sales and market growth.  Frank continues to homeschool his children through Regina Caeli Academy.  His priorities are being at home and active with his family while allowing them to grow in their Catholic faith.  Frank is active in his local Catholic Parish acting as a Counselor for the Knights of Columbus Columbian Squires as well as a Mentor for a small, teen discipleship group sponsored through Lifeteen.  Frank enjoys playing casual sports with cycling by far his favorite.

Fr. John Paul Walker, OP - Director

 

Fr. John Paul Walker is a Dominican friar and priest in the Province of St. Joseph (Eastern USA). He grew up in a practicing Catholic home in the Chicago suburbs, but never seriously considered a vocation to the priesthood during his childhood. He attended the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, studying chemistry, and then completed a graduate degree in Environmental Engineering & Chemistry at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. It was during his graduate studies that he discerned a calling to religious life and the priesthood. He entered the Order of Preachers in 1995, made his solemn profession in 2000, and was ordained to the priesthood in 2002. He received his S.T.B., M.Div., and S.T.L. degrees from the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC. Since his ordination, he has served as a Catholic chaplain at Providence College and Johns Hopkins University, has served as Director of Pastoral Formation on the Pontifical Faculty at the Dominican House of Studies, and is currently Pastor of St. Mary Parish in New Haven, Connecticut--the founding church of the Knights of Columbus. He has also served as a contract chaplain with the United States Army, where he regularly celebrated Mass and heard confessions at Fort Meade in Maryland and at the Pentagon, and has extensive experience in Catholic young adult (20's/30's) ministry through Frassati USA. His intellectual interests include the compatibility of Catholic faith & modern science, the interplay of the clerical and lay vocations in the mission of the Church, and the theological & philosophical writings of Saint John Paul II.
